Steppin’ Out! is an innovative, cross-cultural collaboration of three American styles of dance: Appalachian clogging, African-American stepping, and hip-hop. It combines fierce rhythm and rhyme with rollicking live old-time string-band music, and provides enough soul and smile to inspire all ages.

Steppin' Out! first came to the stage in 2006 with remarkable success. The Geese teamed up with the Keane Sense of Rhythm Youth Tap Ensemble, the Anwatin Middle School Steppers, the New Epsilon City Wide Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Steppers, the Cooper High School Step Team, and local hip-hop artist, RDM.

In 2007, we were thrilled to bring Steppin' Out! to the Southern Theater as part of their Hit It! Festival. Our shows featured clogging, stepping, and hopping, with some exciting new collaborations between the Geese, the DeLaSouljah Steppers from DeLaSalle High School, the Xi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Hop Team, and RDM.

After a run of sold-out shows during the 2007 Hit It! Festival, we're delighted to bring Steppin' Out! back to the Southern in December 2008. The Geese are teaming up once again with the DeLaSouljah Steppers and RDM.
